We explore a variety of local farms and ranches on this ever changing excursion. Depending on the day and season, each excursion offers a variety of fresh experiences to engage and educate with hands on time with the farmers and ranchers and the option to support the local farmer/rancher with the purchase of their products:
produce, meats. oils, tinctures, herbs, eggs, flowers. . . the list is endless.
One day, You may be walking in a field of lavender with a bundle to take home, walking with alpacas, learning about cattle management and irrigation, go to a historic livestock auction with lunch included, surrounded by real cowboys and cowgirls and auctioneers, or to a Tribal Farm and Ranch that grows wheat, corn, and alfalfa, operates a flour mill, cattle, and state of the art irrigation system, we may roam through a wheat field, eat lunch there, watch the farmer run the combine that thrashes the wheat, and learn where the wheat ends up.

There is such a large variety of opportunities to discover the inner farmer or rancher in You.
One day we may end up on a aquaponic farms that grows for local restaurants, a cattle ranch that raises beef for local meat for sale, a farmer that has a herd share operation and caters to our local Counties, makes butter from the milk she gets from her cows, makes pies, canned goods, grows her own vegetable and fruit for the goods she sells, or we may go to farm with Navajo Churro Sheep that raises them for local meat.
We may go to a local bakery that uses flour from the mill that buys the wheat from the local farmer, go the the flour mill, go get farm fresh eggs, meat, cheese, sourdough bread, fruits and vegetables, a herb or flower farm, and in the fall we transition to harvesting heritage apples, and fruits and vegetables, wild crafting rose hips and other berries, and then we engage you with food preservation and canning experiences at a commercial kitchen.
We go by beehives, breathtaking views, local landmarks and share the folklore and history of our County, and immerse you in our area.
We as a group harvest ingredients to create your own fresh salsa, You will water-bath can peaches, green beans, and all sorts of fresh produce to turn into your own delicious creation. Our local canning experts will entertain you and share the secrets to the art of canning.
At the conclusion of each excursion, we share our locally sourced food products with you and who knows, maybe you were at this farm or ranch today.
